McFatty Monday: Week 2

So this week was a failure. Maybe not a complete failure, but I definitely didn't do as well as I could have. I drank beer, ate pizza, and didn't do cardio once. My 6 week checkup appt was rescheduled to some point this week (depending on when my doctor gets back into town) so I haven't been cleared for cardio yet.

This week I did lift weights. That felt nice, to be doing something healthy. I didn't take any walks because even though I live in Florida IT SNOWED HERE, PEOPLE! Insanity!! My poor self isn't used to cold weather, so I stayed bunked up inside with the heat blasting.

I did well at work, eating salads and other healthier items. My problem lies at home. I live with a pizza, meat, & potatos kind of man. Strictly. I've seen him eat a vegetable maybe 10 times in the 5 years I've known him. No lie. I'm going to try harder this week, and we'll see.

I did lose a pound though, so yay me.

Goals for week 2:
-Drink more water. I need to channel my inner pregnant lady and guzzle more water.
-Lift weights at least 3 times this week.
-Start The 30 Day Shred, because even though I haven't been cleared for cardio everything seems fine and I feel fine.
-Continue eating salads and healthy options at work, and try to make dinners healthier at home.

And of course thanks to Blair for starting McFatty Mondays.. it's definitely nice to have a group of us doing it together!

It snowed in Florida??? Good for you to wait on getting cleared by the doctor to do cardio.
