I'm so nervous! We have our official ultrasound this morning, I'll be leaving work in about an hour. I'm not worried because I think something's wrong, I'm just nervous because I want a confirmation os the sex!
Work has been a so slow this week. I've spent the majority of my week on The Bump and not doing too much else. My filing is all caught up, myy desk is organized and clean. I used to love slow days, but they are just tedious and boring now.
Oh, and I definitely got my first ticket EVER this morning! For no seat belt! I'm such a slacker :P I chose to not wear it, and now I have to cough up $101 to the court system. LAME but taught me a lesson I guess!
I have such a headache.. why does no one ever tell you about pregnancy headaches and how bad they can be? No matter how often I eat, etc, I still get killer headaches at least once a day.
So in a about 2 hours I'll know if we have an Emily or an Aidan!
Okay..

So my ultrasound was today. First she couldn't see anything. Then she said it was a girl since there were no boy bits hanging out. Then at the end she said it's a boy, 100%. We even have a picture of what looks like boy parts to me. I am so thrilled to have a boy. Mike is very skeptical and will not be pleased until it is confirmed with our next ultrasound. Heart beat was 138, which points to boy if you believe Old Wive's Tales :P
Luckily, I get to go to Radiology this Friday to have the official big ultrasound, to check the organ growth/placement, heart chambers, etc for any defects. The tech said that they will confirm the sex for us, since there was a bit of confusion.
So for now I am the proud mother of a baby boy, and hopefully nothing changes!
These pictures are 4D images of the head. Baby was facing my back and refused to wake up and turn around. You can see the little ear and hand in the top one, and the head and arm in the second one.
This one up top is the boy part, looks like a weewee to me! And the bottom is the heartrate, 138 bpm. :) 23 Weeks

130 & Family Drama
Thursday, July 23, 2009
130 days left!! My mind is a bit surprised. Soon I'll hit double digits!
My family has decided all of the sudden to pull all sorts of douchetastic moves. I really appreciate all they have done for me the past few years, but I'm so done with the tension and drama. I don't even enjoy my time around them anymore. I'm at a point of seperation, just move on and have my own family and yeah I'll see them but I don't owe them anything or any explanations. So tired of feeling like I'll never live up to their expectations and things. Better to just keep my distance and enjoy my own pregnancy, without their input or opinions.

No sooner than I published my last post and I experienced definite baby movement, way stronger than any taps I've felt before. And it continued all the way up until I fell asleep last night! This morning baby is quite active, too. It's one of the weirdest/coolest feelings in the world.
I laugh everytime it happens, because I guess my uterus is ticklish. Who knew?

145
Wednesday, July 8, 2009
Never in my life did I think that I would consider 145 days to be a short amount of time. Not only am I more than half way to full term, but I'm only days away from half way to 40 weeks.
I have 145 days left in my pregnancy. What??? I remember when it was 250, and more. 145 seems like the blink of an eye.
I am growing rapidly. My OB has advised me to watch my weight, but it's literally all in my stomach. I think because I was overweight before she's concerned about my weight. I'm actually not offended, though, because I really don't want to gain 80 pounds, either. I'm still sitting at my +7 lb point, like I assumed, those excess 3lbs were water and poop :x LOL. Unfortunately, those 3lbs snuck up on me the day of my doctors appt, so she was unhappy. Oh well.
Things are going well. I am 19w2d, and I swear I feel some movement, especially at night when Mike and I are in bed, his hand on my stomach. He was concerned, and asked me why I felt movement so early. He figured that I wouldn't until 30 weeks LOL!! He was all concerned, like something might be wrong. It was touching. Last night he placed his hand on my lower stomach to settle in for sleep and I felt the weirdest feeling, like a mixture of popcorn and fish swimming! Way stronger than a couple days ago. I was shocked and just laid there waiting for it to happen again but it didn't.

Hmmm No Go!

Baby decided to be stubborn just like his or her parents!! Definitely sleeping, legs crossed, and no orange juice or prodding the uterus helped. Boo!
We did get a 3D ultrasound though, and that was neat! Here's a picture of babies face. Now mind you, I'm only 18w2d, so it's still half alien ;)
There is a definite mouth, nose, eye, and ear!!
